To The Lighthouse

We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bonjour all!

Recently I came upon this stunning image that inspired me so much, I actually began writing just on this churning of emotions that I entwined with this picture. I would love to share with you all a piece of what I wrote and what I felt upon such a beautiful picture.

To The Lighthouse

Sometimes its hard,
To know that you might be here all this time.
And I was blind that I could not see you.

I bend closer, to hear you,
Yet this song I sing, I cannot bear
To hold it any more dear.
You'll just slip and fly away all the more.

I stand here, for years even.
Searching, looking.
When day curls and releases into night
It will never discourage me, nor will I falter.
Always setting my sights for you.

Watching the clouds drift and sink away.
I see another sea of dreams.
And I'm still here.
When all have thought I would eventually cease to remember.
How could I,
When all I had, all my heart,
I put them aside
And into your arms.

It was there I put my heart.
So that you knew no matter how far you may be,
I will always be where you have been all this time.
With me in Time.

When power comes to dominate,
Nature, she dares to swallow me whole.
And even so, I open my eyes and face forward.
For I will conquer my fear,
And that when I do, you are standing with me.
A bringer of strength unlike any other.
Nature may conquer,
But never my dreams, nor will it shape my destiny.

And that's all for now, ciao!
